Chronic myocardial ischemia
March 07, 2021The treatment of chronic myocardial ischemia depends on many factors, such as the degree of coronary artery stenosis, whether functional symptoms such as angina, shortness of breath, fatigue appear frequently or not, and associated diseases... If the degree of coronary artery stenosis is not too serious, the patient can be treated with drugs such as cholesterol-lowering drugs, vasodilators, anticoagulants, antihypertensive drugs... to reduce angina, limit the development of atherosclerosis and prevent the risk of myocardial infarction.
In cases of severe coronary artery stenosis (usually over 80%), stenosis of multiple coronary artery branches, stenosis at important coronary artery locations or angina symptoms that are not controlled with drug treatment, they can be treated by stenting or coronary artery bypass surgery.
In addition, it is also necessary to have a reasonable diet: reduce salt intake, limit fat from fat, skin, animal organs, fried foods; increase green vegetables, fresh seasonal fruits and exercise at least 30 minutes a day.
